Have you ever detected the PET bottle? Here the above image is a PET bottle expanded as polyethylene terephthalate. It is that type of plastic material which we see in everywhere for bottle and other kind or sort of containers. PET bottles are very good, because they have lighter weight, which is easy to carry. They are also not prone to breakage, so they safe for application. And, you can recycle them which is good for the environment. We all know what a bottle looks like. Let’s find out!
This PET bottle production process starts from the phase referred to as injection. What a preform is created in this stage. Preform – a mini-tube of plastic resembling the shape of a bottle We employ a technique known as injection molding to create this preform. This process involves heating and melting plastic pellets. The melted plastic is then pushed into test tube-shaped molds. This plastic, when cold is solid. After it hardens the mold opens and remove preform. The original bole is made using this preform.
The following operation is known as Extrusion. In this stage of work the preform is drawing to be ready for final bottle shape. The way we do this is via a machine known as an ex-truder. The preform is heated by the extruder and becomes warm and stretchy. It then draws the preform and stretches it to desired length that we want. After it is the appropriate length, the preform cools to hold its new shape. Next, the preform is cut to size and it has been prepared for further processing.
And that brings us to the last process, which is stretch blow molding. During this step, the preform is expanded into a bottle-like shape. For this, we having a machine named as Stretch Blow Moulding Machine. To begin with the machine reheats that preform to melt it To have a good time. Inflates like blowing up a balloon the-preform. A mold inside the machine forms preform into bottle shape Simultaneously, a burst of air cools everything while ensuring it maintains its shape. Voilà, une vraie bouteille PET!
One of the newest technologies making an appearance are known as Blowliner. It combines three procedures of extrusion, injection and blow molding in a single step. This means that the manufacture of bottles is much faster than it used to be in older manufacturing methods. It is also environmentally friendly and uses less energy, resulting in less waste produced for the planet.
Servo Stretch is another high-technology for producing pet bottles. These are motors that help the process of stretching and blowing enablers for PET preform. This leads to bottles true Servo Stretch in both wall thickness…Better Clarity…. Bottle would be stronger so the clarity of bottle will look better. This will also help to significantly lower the amount of errors that you can possibly make during production, which is definitely a win!
An interesting one is to recycle existing bottles, also known as rPET for use in new bottles. The first step in this procedure is the collection of used bottles, followed by separation and cleaning after melting the plastic to make new preforms. This in turn reduces the need for manufacturers to constantly use new plastic and adds less recyclable waste material into toxic landfill sites. It’s a win-win situation!
